Brandon Routh Says Goodbye To Legends Of Tomorrow In Heartfelt Post

It's hard to imagine that Brandon Routh will be leaving Legends of Tomorrow after five awesome seasons but here we are. The former Arrow star decided to post a heartfelt message to the CW show.

Routh posted several photos from his last day on the Legends set on his official Instagram account. Not surprisingly, it comes with a lengthy and heartwarming message to the series. Make sure to swipe through the post to see all the awesome pictures.

"My final day of filming with my #LegendsFamily. I love you all & appreciate the 5 seasons we've spent together," Routh wrote. "It hasn't always been easy, but I think that's what makes it harder to leave—getting through the growing pains of the first few seasons has bonded us. And made the last three seasons a blast!"

Not surprisingly, Routh admitted he would miss the cast and crew and paid tribute to his character.

"I've never been at a job this long, so this is new for me. I think I will miss you all and the fun we've had making this silly show on the #Waverider—as much as I'll miss bringing #RayPalmer to life," he wrote. "Love & blessings on a great finish to the season."

Although Routh is saying goodbye to Ray Palmer, fans can expect to see more of the actor in Crisis on Infinite Earths. After all, he will be pulling double duty playing both Ray and Kingdom Come Superman in the Arrowverse crossover event. Nevertheless, we're all a little heartbroken to say goodbye to Routh's The Atom.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will premiere on The CW on December 8.
