It looks like Dwayne Johnson is really bulking up for his new role in Black Adam. The Jumanji: The Next Level star has shared a new image confirming that he is currently working out for the Warner Bros. film. In addition to that, Johnson revealed when the DC Extended Universe movie will finally begin filming.

Johnson shared the image on his official Instagram account and it only offers a glimpse at the former WWE champion's physique. Check it out below.

"New era. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change. Same game different levels. Same hell different devils," Johnson wrote before adding the hashtags #antiherotraining, #dcuniverse, and #blackadam. Interestingly, he also dropped some new info about the movie.

"Shooting starts this summer," Johnson wrote.

It's exciting news for people who have been hoping to see Johnson as Black Adam. It may still be a long wait before the film hits theaters. Nevertheless, it's great to know that we'll be getting more updates once Johnson begins working on the movie.

There aren't a lot of details about Black Adam just yet. After all, Johnson has been the only star confirmed for the film. However, there are also speculations that the character will encounter Shazam in the DC flick. Hopefully, we'll get some confirmation about Zachary Levi reprising his role in the movie.

Black Adam will begin production in summer. The film is then scheduled for release on December 22, 2021.
