Some people are still not over the cancellation of The Punisher after its second season. For one, Ben Barnes couldn't help but reminisce about the fun times he had on the set with Jon Bernthal. Barnes has just shared a deleted scene from the cancelled Netflix series that shows Frank Castle and Billy Russo actually working together.

Barnes shared the video on his official Instagram page and confirms that the scene is from Season 1. We don't know why it was deleted from the series but it confirms that both Frank and Billy are really good at working together to take down some thugs. Check it out below.

Interestingly, the flashback fight scene also features the music of Nina Simone. It would have been an awesome sequence to watch on The Punisher. Unfortunately, this is just another scene that we won't be able to see in the future.

The Punisher was a fan-favorite for Marvel fans who love action sequences and interesting storytelling. Unfortunately, the series had to be cancelled along with Marvel's other Netflix shows Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. There is no word yet on whether any of these shows will be continued on Disney+. I the meantime, we're hoping that Disney might want to revisit the characters in the future.

Barnes is expected to return as Logan Delos in the third season of Westworld. He has also completed work on the new BBC One miniseries Gold Digger, which also stars Julia Ormond.
