We already got a glimpse at the new Batwoman, thanks to Javicia Leslie's post on Instagram. However, it looks like Ryan Wilder will get an upgrade in Batwoman Season 2. A new promo image reveals a better look at Ryan's new Batsuit and this time, it looks less like Kate Kane's.

The new promo images from Batwoman Season 2 was revealed by The CW and Warner Bros. TV and it features the new Batsuit that was designed by Maya Mani. Interestingly, it also confirms that Ryan won't be wearing Kate's red wig for long. Check it out below.

We're loving the idea that Ryan will be letting her natural hair loose in the Batsuit although she will still be keeping the red touches that fans associate with Batwoman. Needless to say, it's an awesome upgrade and we can't wait to see Ryan in action soon.

Showrunner Caroline Dries released a statement about the new Batsuit.

"Ryan’s journey starts from a place of 'What can this Batsuit do for me?'" Dries said. "But it's not long before she realizes the power of its symbol, and what it can do for everyone else in Gotham City. As Ryan embraces everything that makes her special, she adjusts the suit to fit her physically and figuratively. This meant creating a new body design and new cowl that was undeniably a statement that screamed 'powerful.'"

Dries further explains how they came up with the exciting new look.

"Maya Mani sent me her drawings and I loved it. The wig was something we never perfected in season one, and Janice Workman crushed it with this new take. Javicia and I saw various prototypes of styles and red ombres, and at one point we were trading our own iPad-doodled versions. Janice translated that into what we are looking at now. When I see it, I smile. It makes me feel inspired," she said.

For now, Batwoman Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
