In case you missed it, there's a petition begging for Danny Devito to be cast as the new Wolverine after Hugh Jackman and it has already received thousands of signatures. Now a new fan art reveals how the Dumbo star will look like as the legendary member of the X-Men.

The fan art was created by Bosslogic and features a smiling Devito showing off his adamantium claws. Check it out below.

It's an awesome depiction of what fans can possibly look forward to in Logan 2. The idea of a smiling Wolverine is certainly something new and it's probably time that the mutant lightens up a bit.

The petition posted on is addressed to Marvel and begs for Devito to take on the role of Wolverine in the MCU.

"The only man able to take the throne after Hugh Jackman. We believe that if Wolverine is to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the only man able to pull it off is Danny DeVito," it reads.

The original poster even listed down several reasons why Devito is the perfect man for the job, citing the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star's height (he's 4'10", which is pretty close to Wolverine's 5'3"). They also mention that Devito's portrayal of Trashman confirms he "is fully capable of fighting" and is equally "not afraid when things get dirty!"

As of writing, the petition already has more than 28,000 signatures and continues to get the support of fans. Looks like Keanu Reeves, who has previously expressed interest in playing Wolverine, is in for some serious competition.
