Avengers: Endgame Star Hayley Atwell Teases New Role In Mission: Impossible 7

Hayley Atwell is certainly on a roll. The Avengers: Endgame star is expected to return as Peggy Carter in the Marvel series What If? and now she's set to take on a completely different mission. Atwell has just confirmed that she will be joining the cast of Mission: Impossible 7.

The casting was first announced by director Christopher McQuarrie on Instagram where he posted a photo of Atwell along with a cryptic caption, "Should you choose to accept..." It didn't take long before the likes of Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson reacted to the news and soon, Atwell herself confirmed it with her own post that teased on what her character will be up to. Check it out below.

"Mission: Accepted. Though I'm not the sort to follow orders..." Atwell wrote. Although this could be a reference to her strong-willed Marvel Cinematic Universe character, some believe that the former Black Mirror star will play someone who doesn't take rules too seriously.

We're certainly excited to see Atwell in action in Mission: Impossible 7. After all, we barely got a glimpse of her in Endgame and there is little doubt that the woman would make an excellent action star. Hopefully, we'll learn more about Atwell's character in the highly anticipated sequel.

Atwell is currently set to return in Marvel's What If?, which will air on Disney+. She is also starring alongside David Tennant in the Netflix police procedural drama Criminal: UK which will begin streaming on September 20.
