New Avengers: Endgame Official Trailer Shows Captain Marvel Joining The Team

We finally have the official trailer for Avengers: Endgame and it's certainly amazing enough to get everyone excited for April. Not surprisingly, we finally see Captain Marvel joining the team but not before some major assessment from Thor.

The trailer opens with Tony Stark reminiscing about the past, from escaping the cave in the first Iron Man film to falling in love with Pepper Potts. "I know you said no more surprises but I was really hoping to pull off one last one," he says to Pepper as he continues recording on his helmet.

We are also brought back to the beginning when Steve Rogers was still a scrawny man wanting to make a difference. Interestingly, there's a brief glimpse at Clint Barton with a young girl shooting arrows. However, it quickly moves back to the present where Ronin reveals himself to Black Widow and they hold hands.

The mood once again shifts as we are reminded about what happened in Avengers: Infinity War. Thor is clearly feeling guilty as we see several members of the team turning into dust. "They keep telling everybody they should move on," Captain America says. "Some do, but not us."

There's a quick shot of Scott Lang looking confused as he sees several missing persons posters before we see a sign of hope: A ship that looks like the Benatar hovering over New York.

Everyone vows to do "whatever it takes" then there's more hope. The team is finally revealed in their new white suits and yes, Nebula and Tony Stark are among them. However, the big reveal with Captain Marvel happens in the end and it's certainly worth it.

The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:

"Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of the universe killed in an event dubbed "The Decimation", the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe."

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
