There is little doubt that merchandise intended to promote a film also have a tendency to reveal key details. A new toy set for Avengers: Endgame may have revealed the return of two characters who were killed off in Avengers: Infinity War.
The image of the leaked toy set was shared on Twitter and suggests that the merchandise depicts the final battle in Endgame. Take a look at the photo below.
The toy set clearly shows Iron Man and Thor along with Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Interestingly, they appear to be battling winged robots that have lasers and huge claws. The Endbattle In New York set reportedly contains 213 pieces and retails for $299.99.
Although the post states that the toy set is from LEGO, it actually comes from Elephant JX, a LEGO knockoff brand. Needless to say, this probably means that winged robots that have lasers and huge claws won't play a part in Endgame. For some reason, I am greatly disappointed.
Although it is still unclear how Spider-Man and Doctor Strange will be brought back in Endgame, there is little doubt that we haven't seen the last of Peter Parker and Stephen Strange. Tom Holland is already confirmed to reprise his role in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will be released after the fourth Avengers film. In addition to that, Doctor Strange 2 is expected to begin production really soon.
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26. Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled for release on July 5.
