Avengers: Age of Ultron Almost Featured Captain Marvel

We only got to see Captain Marvel in action earlier this year. However, it looks like there were plans to include Carol Danvers in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Unfortunately, her scene was deleted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

The deleted scene was actually included in Marvel's Infinity Saga box set and it confirms that Carol was supposed to be one of the new recruits that Captain America addresses in the Assemble scene that includes Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and War Machine. A screenshot of the scene has been shared on Reddit. Check it out below.

Of course, that's not actually Brie Larson. The scene only featured an anonymous stand-in since Captain Marvel has not yet been cast. Nevertheless, it's interesting to know that Carol was almost a part of the Avengers back in 2015.

Larson was cast as Captain Marvel in 2016 and it took another three years before she would appear in her own MCU film. The character also appeared in Avengers: Endgame where she was the one to save Tony Stark from space and ultimately help in the final battle against Thanos.

The Infinity Saga box set features all 23 MCU films that have been released so far as well as several deleted scenes. It retails for $549.99 but if you're a huge Marvel fan who wants to get their hands of a disc full of gag reels, deleted scenes, and never-before-seen footages, it should be well worth the price.

The Infinity Saga box set was released on November 15.
