Arnold Schwarzenegger Celebrates James Cameron's Birthday With Rare Terminator Storyboard

On August 16, film legend James Cameron celebrated his 65th birthday and Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to pay tribute to the man who gave him the role of a lifetime. Schwarzenegger shared a rare storyboard from the early days of The Terminator that was illustrated by the Avatar filmmaker.

Schwarzenegger posted the image along with a touching message for Cameron on his official Twitter account. Check it out below.

"Happy birthday to my dear friend, the great visionary @JimCameron. As you know, @Terminator changed my life. You are a big reason that I can never call myself self-made. This early storyboard you drew for Terminator reminds me of your big vision, and I cherish it," Schwarzenegger wrote.

The storyboard depicts the Terminator fixing itself after it was damaged in an attempt to kill Sarah Connor. The scene is one of the most memorable sequences in the 1984 film as it confirmed that the Terminator can be injured but it can still reanimate.

It's certainly an awesome throwback to how Cameron got started. Of course, it wouldn't be long before he would become one of the most successful filmmakers with movies like Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Titanic, and Avatar. He is currently working on the sequel to Avatar, which is scheduled to premiere on December 17, 2021.

Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role as the Terminator that once helped Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate, which is scheduled for release on November 1.
