It looks like Amber Heard has no time for controversy. The star of Aquaman 2 has just been spotted attending a pre-Oscar party with her girlfriend amidst a new controversy surrounding all the Johnny Depp drama.
Just Jared reports that Heard showed up at the WME Pre-Oscar Party with girlfriend Bianca Butti. The Aquaman actress was seen holding hands with Butti and avoiding paparazzi.
Heard might be happily dating right now but she's still in the middle of a $50 million lawsuit filed against her by ex-husband Depp. The Pirates of the Caribbean star had filed the suit against Heard after she posted an editorial which reportedly claimed she was a domestic abuse survivor. To make matters worse, it was previously reported that a sound clip where Heard admits to hitting Depp has surfaced.
Not surprisingly, the news led to people going against Heard. Fans are now petitioning to have Heard removed from Aquaman 2 and the petition has already received over 100,000 signatures. Interestingly, Warner Bros. is reportedly considering replacing the actress in the DC Extended Universe sequel.
It is unclear if Heard will actually be replaced in the second Aquaman film. In the meantime, she is expected to appear in the series adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand.
Aquaman 2 will star Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry as well as Heard as Mera. The film is scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.
