Despite putting out some less than stellar DC movies, Zack Snyder is still a respected name in Hollywood and a lot of people are excited to see what he does next. While he won’t be working on any DC films anytime soon, it looks like the man does have something up that us nerds are going to appreciate; a new anime. That’s right, Snyder is producing a new anime for Netflix and it’s based on Norse mythology.

According to Netflix, Snyder will work on this new anime once he finishes up with Army of the Dead. It will be interesting to see how much of his style will be shown off in the anime but we’ll just have to wait and see. We’re expecting a lot of slow-motion moments and badass decapitations.

Here’s what Netflix’s head of anime programming John Derderian had to say about the move:

“Zack Snyder’s innovation in visual storytelling has pushed the industry forward and established him as one of the most distinctive filmmakers of his generation. We are beyond excited to partner with him and his exceptional team to bring the iconic characters and stories of Norse mythology to life in his inimitable style.”

No release date for the new Netflix anime from Zack Snyder has been revealed.
