Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Can't Talk About Matrix 4 Yet

The Matrix 4 has a lot of people excited and confused since it seemed like The Matrix Revolutions was the definitive finale of this film franchise. Then again, with nostalgia basically making the most money these days, it was only a matter of time before they decided to bring this franchise back from the dead. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is Black Manta in Aquaman and Doctor Manhattan in HBO's Watchmen, will be the lead of the new installment but, as expected, he still can't talk about it.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the actor was asked if he could say anything about his lead role in this new Matrix installment but the actor couldn't give any new information, even though he would love to talk about it. It's not that surprising since this is expected to be a big movie and no one wants spoilers spreading anywhere.

"Nah. I would love to talk about The Matrix! But I'm very excited to do it. A great team and I think there's going to be a lot of … it's a very exciting relevant script that I'm honored to be a part of."

Considering how much we don't know about this movie, we can't blame Abdul-Mateen II for not sharing anything yet. While he seems to have read the script, there probably isn't a final release date yet. We know Keanu Reeves is expected to return, which is going to be really interesting since he died in Revolutions.

No release date for The Matrix 4 has been revealed.
