Why Daniel Radcliffe Won't Be Watching Harry Potter: The Cursed Child on Broadway

No matter what roles Daniel Radcliffe takes, many fans will always associate him as the guy who played Harry Potter. His name is basically synonymous with the character now and it will be weird when the series is rebooted in the future and Radcliffe will just be a cameo. I can see it happening in the future but that isn't happening right now.

Though he continues to star in movies, Radcliffe has also been acting in a lot of plays lately, some of which he appeared naked in. One event that fans were hoping to see him in was Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, a sequel to the previous books that details the adult lives of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Unfortunately, it looks like Radcliffe won't be watching this play anytime soon and he has a really good reason too; he won't be able to enjoy seeing it because the audience will pay a lot of attention to him. Whether he likes it or hates it is irrelevant as fans will want to see how he reacts to this play's interpretation of a character he once played.

Radcliffe revealed the information during an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers. It's hard to blame him for feeling this way but that's the price you pay for being famous. That doesn't mean he doesn't deserve privacy but it's clear that his fans won't let him have it if he ever decides to watch the show.

Harry Potter fans who are in the mood for a movie may want to check out Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which is showing in theaters now.
