The Umbrella Academy Season 2 finale sure was something huh? Time travel, an epic fight, new characters, and a twist ending, this is a series that sure knows how to get people talking. Fans definitely enjoyed the ending where things were seemingly back to normal but then they return to a timeline where Ben never died (and became emo), while their father lives on to make the mysterious Sparrow Academy. Umbrella Academy Season 3 is going to be fun, you guys.

Assuming that Netflix approves of it.

Showrunner Steve Blackman, who is not the former WWF Hardcore Champion btw, has said on Twitter that Netflix has not renewed Umbrella Academy for a season 3. This might worry some since it could mean this plot thread never gets resolved but when you consider just how popular the show is, this is nothing to worry about.

I mean, yeah, they canceled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina but even that show’s fans will tell you Umbrella Academy is way more popular.

No joke, if Netflix doesn’t renew this show for a third season then it will continue the streak of 2020 being the worst year ever. Or, it would start the petition for 2021 being even worse but major strides against the Coronavirus might have happened by that time so who knows? We all just want a third season for Umbrella Academy and if one doesn’t happen, the apocalypse will surely happen.

Umbrella Academy Season 2 is now available on Netflix.
