The Suicide Squad's Michael Rooker Details His Battle With COVID-19

We've only seen a bit of The Suicide Squad thus far but fans are looking forward to seeing how this plays out, especially with James Gunn directing. The all-star cast looks like a good one and is filled with some of Gunn's favorite actors like Nathan Fillion, his brother Sean Gunn, and the excellent Michael Rooker. Interestingly enough, Michael Rooker actually revealed that he battled COVID-19 not too long ago but after some pain, he kicked its ass.

Posting a lengthy statement on Facebook, Rooker went into detail on how he handles his fight with COVID-19. The actor also pointed out how he didn't take much medicine when he was sick since there didn't seem to be much point in taking them when it's already in your system. That being said, Rooker does make sure to say that this was just something he decided to do and was not recommended by medical professionals so take medicine if you feel like it's needed.

Thankfully, Rooker is done with COVID-19 and we're sure that he will be a bit more careful, given the current state of this world. Sadly, with a number of movies resuming filming, plenty of actors like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Robert Pattinson recently got it. Both of them will be fine since they have plenty of money but this is proof that we can't force normal back just because we want things to be better.

Michael Rooker will play Savant in The Suicide Squad, one of many obscure DC villains who will likely provide a good time for audiences in the movie. We're looking forward to seeing which characters live and die, as Gunn has confirmed that this is going to be the case. Here's hoping this is better than 2016's Suicide Squad.

The Suicide Squad comes out in August 2021.
