Terminator: Dark Fate is Actually Getting Some Positive Reviews

Despite a shaky track record and some less-than-stellar sequels after Terminator 2, it looks like Terminator: Dark Fate is actually getting some positive reviews. Fans like myself had doubts about this new entry since films like Genisys were so putrid that we didn't want to see anything from this franchise again but it looks like they managed to make a good sequel after all these years. Finally.

A lot of the reviews tend to credit Linda Hamilton, calling her the true heart of this franchise and it's hard to argue with that. In the first Terminator, her character was pregnant and had to run away from Arnold's iconic Terminator character. Then the second film had her teaming up with her former pursuer to take on a stronger Terminator to save her son, which proved to be the best film in this franchise.

Seriously, with a character so strong to withstand all that, why would you ever not focus on her? Granted, Terminator 3 had a solid enough concept but was just flawed throughout. Either way, it's finally nice to have a good Terminator movie that isn't just called Terminator or Terminator 2.

There's been a lot of promotion for Dark Fate and it seems to have paid off. Fans won't be complaining about the Terminator DLC they have in Mortal Kombat 11, though paying for the Terminator: Dark Fate skins in Gears 5 is kind of annoying.

Fans will be able to view Terminator: Dark Fate next week on November 1.
