Terminally Ill Fan Talks With Marvel About Watching Avengers: Endgame Early

You never really appreciate life until someone is dying. This is what a lot of Marvel fans are realizing now that news has spread about a fan named Alexander, who has bone marrow failure and is currently battling both liver and mouth cancer. With the chances of dying seemingly likely, Alexander has asked Marvel Studios if watching Avengers: Endgame before April 26 is possible since the fan may no longer be with us by that time.

On Twitter, Alexander tweeted some semi-positive news as the terminally ill fan managed to meet with Marvel and Disney, saying discussions are underway. This is pretty good news for Alexander since an early screening could be likely and we can only hope that things push through. It would be really nice if this happened so let's all hope for the best.

@ManaByte
Disney have reached out and we're discussing options. Thank you all so much. This is everything I could have hoped for!

The entertainment industry might be a cynical place but moments like these show how much this medium can inspire and touch people. Last year, Rockstar Games let a dying fan try out Red Dead Redemption 2 before the game came out, which must have been a dream come true, given the number of awards the title has won amidst the controversy.

Avengers: Endgame is set to be the epic finale of everything Marvel Studios has been building up for the last 10 years. The movie may feature an Avenger's death or two and will definitely bring back a few characters since their sequels were announced months in advance. All those tears fans shed for Spider-Man was for nothing.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
