Superman Conflict Between Henry Cavill and Warner Bros. Might Be Fake

There's been a lot of conflicting reports regarding the Superman situation between Henry Cavill and Warner Bros. Some reports claimed that the actor quit after negotiations for a Shazam cameo broke down, while Cavill's manager says that discussions are still ongoing. Cavill himself posted a cryptic video on Instagram implying that he still has a future as the Man of Steel.

Well, according to TMZ, Cavill leaving the Superman role was either made up and the actor will likely play the character again when a film starring him is actually released.

Apparently, Cavill did turn down a Shazam cameo and is working on The Witcher but he hasn't left Warner Bros. or is planning to quit the Superman role. Cavill might be upset about being underpaid as Superman but there are still negotiations to be had, assuming a project with the character is ever announced.

Fans were actually pretty upset when Cavill seemingly left the Superman role, so this might make them happy or feel a bit used. The fact that news of Cavill leaving made it out in the first place shows that they knew it would get people talking. Then again, it's doubtful Warner Bros. planned this move since that would have resulted in negative publicity.

Shazam comes out on April 5, 2019.
