Star Wars: Timeline for Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ Series Revealed

Now that Disney has confirmed an Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, fans are pumped up to see what the House of Mouse has in store for the Jedi, especially with Ewan McGregor back. The character has always been a central part of Star Wars fiction but his adventures post-Revenge of the Sith are pretty unknown. While details on the series are still pretty slim, we do know what the time period is going to be.

According to The Star Wars Show, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or whatever the series is going to be called, will be set eight years after Revenge of the Sith. ComicBook.com stated that this puts it in the same timeline of Solo: A Star Wars Story and it would be cool to see the two have some kind of impromptu team-up, though that would mess with the canon a lot.

What Obi-Wan has been up to will finally be revealed, though some of these parts have been filled via tie-in novels and a one-shot issue in Marvel's Star Wars series. There is a lot of time to fill though since Luke Skywalker will still be a kid when the show debuts. Thankfully, Disney+ has some creative liberties to take since Obi-Wan has mostly been a ghost since the events in Revenge of the Sith.

I'd love to see McGregor's Obi-Wan learn some new techniques from Yoda or talk with the Jedi Ghost of Qui-Gon Jinn. There's a lot of potential in this series and it's going to get a lot of fans subscribed to the service.

No release date for the Star Wars series has been revealed. Here's hoping that Obi-Wan Kenobi succeeds where Solo and Rogue One failed.
