Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Spin-off Will Reportedly Be Shot in Belfast

The rumor mill is at it again, as reports are coming in about the next Star Wars spinoff after Solo and it's the film many fans have been asking for. Apparently, if these reports are true, the spinoff will be the heavily-requested Obi-Wan Kenobi film and it will be shot in Ireland in 2019. It will be shot sometime after the Game of Thrones finale, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

Reports claim that George Lucas was in Belfast Ireland before Christmas, check out all of the locations for the rumored Kenobi film. He did this to give his approval for the project, so that might please angry fans who hate The Last Jedi. It's too early to tell if this is true but it would be nice seeing a film centered on the fan-favorite Jedi.

Aside from Star Wars, Lucas was also given a tour of the Paint Hall studios, with sources saying that he enjoyed his time there. Whether he also enjoyed scouting out locations for Obi-Wan's origin/post-Revenge of the Sith status remains to be seen but it must be nice to give Disney your approval for the project.

Kenobi: A Star Wars Story - come on, what else is it going to be called? - will reportedly be shot in 2019. For the sake of fans, let's hope it's true. In the meantime, we have Solo: A Star Wars Story coming out on May 25.
