Star Wars: Hot Toys Unveils New Darth Maul Figure From Solo, Complete With Robotic Legs

Solo: A Star Wars Story might not have been a box office success but the film does have its fans and many are hoping that this will be a cult classic in the future. While it doesn't add too much to the Star Wars lore, the film was a ton of fun and had a number of moments that will be remembered for a while. One of them was the unexpected return of Darth Maul and Hot Toys has a new figure based on the character's appearance in the film.

As usual, Hot Toys has done a phenomenal job at making the figure look just like its real-life counterpart. This is a really awesome-looking version of Darth Maul and we would like to see him return to the franchise. The fact that he has robot legs now is also a great reminder of what happened to him during The Phantom Menace and The Clone Wars.

Maul's Star Wars future seems to be relegated to the spin-offs and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Without any constraints from being a film, the writers can make this character one of the more compelling enemies for The Jedi and The Resistance. At the least, they should give him more to do in future spin-off films, though Disney won't be working on those for a while.

Hot Toys says that the Darth Maul figure will be available in the first quarter of 2020. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be coming out this December.
