Spider-Man and Wolverine are Joining the Fantastic Four (Again)

Marvel's Empyre event is an interesting one, having the Fantastic Four and Avengers team up to take on the combined Kree/Skrull army led by Teddy Altman, aka Young Avenger Hulkling. We know that the event is going to take these beloved characters to space and battle these aliens, hopefully in a fun and in-depth superhero story, but what will happen to the teams on Earth?

Thanks to CBR, we now know that Wolverine and Spider-Man will be joining the Fantastic Four in Fantastic Four #21 during the Empyre event. Both characters have been in the Avengers and New Fantastic Four so it's fitting that they fill in for the FF while they're in space. To fill out the whole group, Franklin and Valeria Richards will also be on the team.

With the Fantastic Four neck–deep in the menace in space, who can Powerhouse and Brainstorm call upon to deal with the crisis down on Earth? Only Spider–Man and Wolverine, of course!

Honestly, the best part about this Empyre tie-in is that Spider-Man and Wolverine will get actual Fantastic Four costumes. The designs are pretty cool and we all know Peter Parker has been dying to get his own blue and black FF costume, preferring that color scheme over his black and white Future Foundation outfit, though that suit is pretty cool in its own right.

Fantastic Four #21 will be coming out this April.
