Spider-Man: Far From Home Concept Art Has Fans Wanting a 'Marvel Zombies' Movie

While there's a ton of drama surrounding Spider-Man after the big Sony/Disney split, we should all probably appreciate Spider-Man: Far From Home while we can. The film managed to balance being a standalone Spider-Man story whilst also being an epilogue to Avengers: Endgame and an excellent one at that. There were a lot of standout moments but the best one was when they had Mysterio surrounding Spider-Man with a bunch of illusions, which almost made it Doctor Strange-esque.

One of the creepier moments had a zombie version of Iron Man rising from the grave and creepily heading towards Peter, having fans clamor for a Marvel Zombies movie. Well, some concept art for the film has come out and it shows Spider-Man taking on a bunch of zombie Iron Men, making fans want a Marvel Zombies film even more.

All kidding aside, the unused Mysterio illusion of these zombie Iron Men is actually pretty cool. This would have made for a spectacular fight scene, though it wouldn't make much sense in hindsight. Since Mysterio didn't have thugs with him, Spider-Man would be fighting nothing and would make fans think that the scene is a plothole.

Since this writer has seen the movie three times, the Mysterio illusion was probably better for not having this fight scene. While a neat little concept, it would have prolonged the scene, whereas the one we saw in the final product was near perfection. Then again, that extended cut is coming out soon.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is getting re-released soon, with Blu-ray and digital details coming as well.
