And with one title announcement, the wish fulfillment of many a fanfiction was brought to life. Well, paper, but you get what I mean. In a move many didn't see coming unless you've been reading the comic book, of course, the current Archie series has set up the title character with none other than Sabrina the Teenage Witch. As if the news wasn't crazy enough, the comic will be renamed to celebrate the occasion.
For five issues at least.
Decider has revealed that Archie #705 will be called Archie and Sabrina #705, though the cover does point out that this will be the first of five issues. This means that the arc with Sabrina will likely last five issues long and we're back to the status quo unless something huge happens in the long run.

I mean, you can't separate Archie from Betty or Veronica forever.
While the Archie comic has been relaunched, rebooted, and renumbered, this might just be the first time it has been retitled. Marvel and DC have done this for years so seeing Archie Comics embrace this tradition is kind of fresh, though that's probably because these comics don't do that a lot.
Archie and Sabrina #705 comes out this May.
