SOLO: Deleted Scene and Concept Art Featuring THE EMPIRE

After Solo: A Star Wars Story disappointed in the box office, both Disney and Lucasfilm are hoping that the spinoff can make more money via its home release. Now that the movie is available for fans to purchase, a number of its deleted scenes have been shared to get more attention. This one, in particular, has got fans buzzing since it has Han as an Imperial Cadet.

We see Han trying to pilot one of the Empire's vehicles and he doesn't do too well. As usual, he gets in trouble with the higher officials of the Empire and he's later seen getting blasted at. It's a fun little scene but doesn't really change much of the movie's plot. That's probably why it was a deleted scene.

There's also some concept art that shows more of the Empire and how they almost had a bigger presence in the film. It seems like they had a lot of ideas for Han as an Imperial Cadet and it's a bit of a shame that they didn't focus on it much during the film but it wouldn't have fit with the overall plot focusing on the heist.

Seeing Han in the Empire's get up is a bit jarring at first but this is an origin story of our favorite thief, so this isn't too bad. Plus, we're actually getting a comic book series of Han's days in the Empire, which should also get a lot of fan interest. It's a great time to be a Star Wars fan, even if some feel that the franchise has been overexposed in the past few days.

SOLO: A Star Wars Story is now available on Digital HD and arrives on Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and On-Demand on September 25. Star Wars: Episode IX comes out next year, on December 20, 2019.
