Rob Liefeld is a name that fans have mixed emotions about but without him, we wouldn't have our favorite Merc With a Mouth Deadpool. Liefeld recently released a new story featuring the character called Deadpool: Bad Blood and he is working on the sequel Deadpool: Badder Blood. It turns out that Badder Blood will be his final story with the character, which is pretty surprising if we're being honest.
On Instagram, Liefeld shared some of the art for the upcoming graphic novel, which he says will be his "last word" on the character. If that doesn't spell out "the finale," we don't know what else does. The comic creator confirmed that he would finish this graphic novel after working on the Major X mini-series, which will be bi-monthly.
Knowing that Liefeld won't be working on any Deadpool stories after this graphic novel is kind of sad, though he could always change his mind. Creators have returned to their characters before the most recent example being Mark Waid's short but sweet Captain America run as part of the Legacy relaunch. Still, if this is the end, then thanks, Rob. We owe you a lot.
