Prince Adam Pulls a 'Spider-Verse' in DC's 'He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse'

There's a lot of hype for Masters of the Universe right now, thanks to that new Netflix anime coming from Kevin Smith, who will act as the showrunner. It seems like DC Comics also knew when to strike when the iron was hot since, only a few days prior, the company had announced a new He-Man mini-series that borrows a bit from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

In DC's November 2019 solicitations (thanks Newsarama), the company unveiled He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse. The series has a number of He-Men teaming up with each other after the Anti-Eternia is unleashed on the multiverse. However, these He-Men are in for a rude awakening since they have to seek the help of Prince Keldor; the future Skeletor.

Fans who enjoyed Injustice vs Masters of the Universe are in luck since writer Tim Seeley will be penning this new mini-series. Readers were pleasantly surprised by the aforementioned mini-series since it showed a lot of knowledge and continuity from the writer, placing the events during the bad ending of Injustice 2 (spoilers?). Here's hoping he delivers another banger with artists Dan Fraga and Richard Fiend.

DC has attempted to make a number of He-Man comics in the past, so seeing a new comic getting announced just before the highly-anticipated anime can't be an accident. Here's hoping they release some of their previous stories in paperbacks and oversized hardcovers.
