Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming out in a few weeks, and fans are still mixed about them. Granted, they are still going to buy the game since some of the new designs are pretty great but the lack of a National Pokedex has a lot of people complaining. Still, for those that want to be in the know when it comes to this game’s new features, The Pokemon Company has released a Pokemon Sword and Shield overview trailer to get everyone up to date.
Admittedly, if you’ve been keeping up with Sword and Shield news, then the trailer might seem a bit redundant. It shows the same new Pokemon we’ve already seen, lets us know about the fun curry cooking in the two games, reminds us that Pokemon battles are a thing, and more. To be fair, it’s still neat seeing the new features for your customizable trainer and the new jobs your Pokemon can take are pretty neat but none of this is new.
Still, as a primer for the upcoming Pokemon games, it does the job. No, the video won’t bring your National Pokedex back and I’m pretty bummed about the fact that Bulbasaur might not be in this game but Sobble is enough. Plus, you still have your copies of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, don’t you?
Okay, that's a bit mean.
Fans will be able to pick up Pokemon Sword and Shield on November 15, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
