One Piece: World Seeker Preview Released

Not long after One Piece: World Seekerwas leaked, a scan of the latest Shonen Jump issue shows some gameplay of the open-world PS4 game. The scan does show some exploration and a bit of combat, which look a bit promising to be honest. An open-world setting has always fit One Piece like a glove, so this game is a long time coming for fans.

The scan comes from Yonkou Productions, a trusted source when it comes to anime and manga news. According to the scan (translations from Gematsu), the game is slated for a 2018 release in Japan. We see "dramatic free field action" used again but this time it is accompanied by "freely adventure anywhere across a big One Piece world."

Another curious piece of text said "a game original worldview will stimulate your curiosity," which hints at a new story made for World Seeker. One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda will be involved with the development, so fans can expect a solid story for the game, or at least one with the quirks of the artist.

One Piece: World Seeker is coming to PS4 on 2018 for Japan. A Western release hasn't been announced yet, though that might only be a matter of time, given how popular the franchise is.
