Nintendo Magazine Reveals Details for Pokémon Switch

There is a lot of Pokemon content to enjoy these days, with the Sun and Moon anime on Netflix, Pokemon GO on mobile devices, and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for the 3DS. However, everyone wants to know when the first details for the upcoming PokemonSwitch game are going to be released.

While there aren't any screenshots or gameplay videos yet, a fan was able to find some new details about the title via a foreign Nintendo magazine.

According to the magazine, this new Pokemon game will indeed be the eight generation and will supposedly have new features that will surprise longtime fans. It also states that the game will be out by 2018 or later, though most fans were already aware of that.

It's nothing new, to be honest, but it does somewhat debunk rumors regarding the series getting a reboot on the Switch. A reboot wouldn't be needed since each title acts as the perfect introduction to the world of Pokemon, with multiple friendly NPCs telling players about how certain mechanics work.

Fans were also hoping for future references in July's Pokemon the Movie: Everyone's Story but that doesn't appear to be the case. The new legendary monster Zeraora will be making its way to the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in the near future, dashing away hopes that it would start up hype for Pokemon on Switch.

Pokemon Switch will supposedly be out this year.
