Finally, after months and years of waiting, Niantic has revealed a ton of new details for the upcoming Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile game. While it will still have some features that make it play similarly to Pokemon GO, the announcement comes with a ton of new details that should make this game enticing to fans of J.K. Rowling's beloved franchise.

Will this be enough for fans to forgive her for Fantastic Beats and The Crimes of Grindelwald? Maybe.

Turns out that Wizards Unite is a fairly ambitious project and it's easy to see why the development for this game took so long. According to Niantic, players are recruited into the Statute of Secrecy Task Force who need to investigate and contain a new "Calamity."

Fans have to find Foundables and return them to the Magic World, whilst also being able to visit iconic locations in the Harry Potter universe. Players can also find some ingredients and craft potions, which all have different uses in the game. None of them were detailed but we can expect some cool stuff.

As expected, this is a Niantic game so there will be Raid Battles. As the game's title implies, fans will have to Unite and take on a number of baddies, whether they are Dementors or Death Eaters. Wizards shouldn't take them alone (or should grind a lot).

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite does not have a release date but Android users can pre-register now, while iPhone users have to wait a bit.
