New Birds of Prey Image Has Huntress in Her Comic-Accurate Mask

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, formerly known as Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), underperformed in the box office due to a number of things. Some fans blame it on poor marketing, others feel that it was due to the weird (yet intriguing) trailers that left fans confused, and then there are those who are blaming certain men who hate seeing women in action movies. It's a complex issue.

One small portion, who could easily fit the poor marketing and sexist men categories, feel that the movie underperformed due to the lack of comic-accurate costumes. While the characters actually wear them by the movie's end (spoilers), the trailers and tv spots beforehand only showed them in, for the lack of a better word, normal-ish clothes.

Well, we did briefly see Huntress in full comic book-accuracy during a tv spot and now a new image of the character in her source material mask has been shared. It doesn't have the pointy ears, not yet anyway, and fans are digging the look. While it is a shame that they didn't show it off beforehand, you could argue that they were saving it to be a big surprise.

And hey, who doesn't like surprises right?

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey might be in trouble this weekend, with Sonic the Hedgehog coming out on February 14. That movie seems to have some positive press behind it and we'll see how it does in the long run. Fans interested in the DCEU movie can check it out now in theaters.
