Namor Will Reportedly Debut In Black Panther 2 As A Villain

While some would argue that Black Panther is a bit overrated, there's no doubt that it's a quality film with good characters and an engaging plot. We're all waiting for the inevitable sequel, which doesn't seem to be a part of phase four but could easily find a spot for phase five. No details for Black Panther 2 have been revealed but a rumor from We Got This Covered may have given us a hot detail; Namor might be the movie's villain.

That's right, Namor the Sub-Mariner might finally make his MCU debut and pairing him up with T'Challa is a great call, if the rumor is true. Namor and T'Challa have butted heads in the comics numerous times so we can't wait to see how the MCU will explore this relationship.

Avengers: Endgame may have teased Namor's existence in the MCU. During the five-year time jump, Okoye is reporting to Black Widow about their findings, discussing how there have been underwater earthquakes and they'll handle the situation by not handling it. Though not a major shout out to the character, this could be a small tease for Namor and the Atlanteans. Only time will tell but let's hope they do Namor right.

Currently, Black Panther 2 hasn't been officially revealed yet, though we do know that the film appears to be in pre-production. Ryan Coogler will return to direct the sequel and most of the cast is expected to return.
