My Hero Academia Actor Wants to See Spider-Man's Tom Holland as Live-Action Deku

My Hero Academia continues to be one of the most popular anime/manga out right now, giving us a world filled with superheroes and how society adjusts to that, like superhero school. While other shows like Demon Slayer and Boruto are gaining momentum as well, My Hero Academia is still pretty big. The franchise's second movie, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, will be hitting theaters soon, which has fans wondering when we'll see a live-action version of the franchise.

Even though Disney's Sky High exists but hey, that's not my hill to die on.

Anyway, Justin Briner, the English voice actor of Izuku Midoriya aka Deku, was asked about a possible live-action version of the film and who he would like to see as Deku. The voice actor said he would like to see Tom Holland in the role, which would be pretty cool. After all, Deku is a teenage superhero in training while Spider-Man was a teenage superhero who had to learn about being a hero by himself.

While the Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home actor would be a solid choice, keep in mind that the character's name is IZUKU MIDORIYA so it might be better to cast a Japanese actor. In fact, all of these characters are Japanese so there really isn't any other option. Granted, you can make up a US branch but that would need to have original characters.

Personally, I'm just fine with the anime. There's also My Hero: One's Justice 2 coming out, which looks like a pretty fun game.

My Hero Academia is currently airing its fourth season. My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising hits US theaters on February 26.
