Mortal Kombat Movie has Cast Deadly Alliance's Nitara

While we haven't seen any official images yet, the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie is looking to be the movie fans have wanted since the beginning. Though the original Mortal Kombat film has plenty of fans, the fact that this one will supposedly have gore and Fatalities has a lot of fans very excited. We already know that a lot of fan-favorite characters will be there but we doubt anyone thought Nitara would make it in.

That's right, Nitara from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance will be in the movie, played by stuntwoman Elissa Cadwell. The news was confirmed by the film's writer Greg Russo after numerous fans heard of these rumors. It's interesting to see someone like Nitara make it in the game since she isn't exactly the main character, nor has anyone been clamoring for her return.

Considering how Nitara hasn't been playable in a while, mostly making cameo appearances in the most recent Mortal Kombat games, the casting news is pretty surprising. We doubt that she will be a major player in this movie, though there's a good chance that she will get to do some cool stuff. That or she will get killed in a really gruesome fashion.

I mean, this is a Mortal Kombat movie after all.

Currently, no release date for the Mortal Kombat movie has been released. Hopefully, more information on the film will be released soon.
