Not long after the news of Sony acquiring Insomniac Games came out, fans have spotted a listing on Amazon that claims that Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the YearEdition is coming soon. This will likely include the full game and The City That Never Sleeps DLC, which are lengthy little "episodes" that take place after the main story and even setting up some future plotlines for a potential sequel.
While Marvel's Spider-Man, aka Spider-Man PS4, didn't exactly win Game of the Year, it did get nominated for the prestigious award. It also enjoyed plenty of acclaim from critics and fans alike, with many claiming that it's their favorite PS4 exclusive or, at the least, is their favorite game that features Spider-Man.
Though it hasn't officially been announced, it's no surprise that this game is getting a re-release with all the DLC. This is standard fare for acclaimed video games and Spider-Man PS4 fits that category. If you haven't played this game yet or sold your copy before the DLC came out, this is a worthwhile title for anyone with a PlayStation 4.
It's also really fun and easy to get the Platinum Trophy. Seriously, I platinumed this game twice and had no regrets; it's that fan.
A release date for Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition has not been confirmed. The vanilla version of Marvel's Spider-Man is now available on PS4.
