Marvel's Kevin Feige Isn't Worried About Superhero Fatigue

Kevin Feige might be known as the head and architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but he has been working on superhero films since the very first X-Men movie from Fox. He proved that these colorful characters could change the film industry and now everyone is trying to make their own cinematic universe, including their rivals in DC.

However, the increase in superhero films has had many talking about "superhero fatigue." Due to the number of films coming from Marvel, DC, Fox, and Sony, a lot of people have felt burnt out with all the capes we see in our cinemas. Add all of the superhero tv shows and it seems like you can't go anywhere without seeing superheroes.

Well, when asked about superhero fatigue in a Reddit Q and A, Feige revealed that he isn't concerned about that since creativity and imagination tend to reinvigorate audiences. People claiming to be tired of these films still had great times watching Avengers: Endgame and Deadpool 2, so it's clear that a good vision can make things feel timeless.

Here's Feige's statement:

"Nobody would get fatigued before the creative forces at Marvel Studios who do this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we believe that if we're still taking risks and making unique choices to keep ourselves excited, the audience will feel the same way."

The man's not wrong. Just when superhero fatigue was starting to sink into some, movies like Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Endgame and Shazam proved that imagination and interesting characteristics can lead to positive receptions and box office numbers. We aren't in the dying age of superheroes yet is what we're saying.

Avengers: Endgame should still be showing in theaters.
