Marvel's Infinity Wars Will Kill a Guardian of the Galaxy Before Series Relaunch

Infinity Wars was originally viewed as Marvel trying to achieve some sort of corporate synergy between the MCU and comic books but has ended up being better than most post people gave it credit for. Featuring some quality writing from Gerry Duggan, great art from Mike Deodato Jr, and a couple of twists no one was expecting, the mini-series has proven to be a memorable tale for Marvel fans.

To add even more stakes to the story, Marvel will be killing one of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The death was seemingly going to take place in Infinity Wars: Fallen Guardian but it turns out that a Guardian will die in the actual event itself, with Fallen Guardian acting more like a fallout or epilogue issue. Either way, it should be an intriguing read.

Considering everything that has happened, it would be easy to assume that Gamora will be the one dying. After all, she's the one who started this whole mess by killing Thanos and some other Marvel heroes like Adam Warlock. Marvel could also add a big twist by killing someone like Drax or Rocket.

We're getting a new Guardians of the Galaxy series in January, written by Donny Cates and drawn by Geoff Shaw. Not only will it deal with the fallout from this event but this series will also tackle the ramifications of Thanos' death. Marvel is hyping up this new version of the Guardians, with the fan-favorite Cosmic Ghost Rider confirmed as the first member.

Infinity Wars is set to end this December.
