Marvel's Avengers Will Introduce a New Wheelchair-Bound Inhuman

It looks like Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics want Marvel's Avengers to be a big deal. They're releasing the game on Google Stadia, along with PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while also hyping up how it will be a single-player/multiplayer hybrid which has left a lot of us confused. Thankfully, we will be getting a War Table stream that will detail these features more but now we have something else that will please fans; a brand-new character!

On the official Square Enix blog, they revealed that a new wheelchair-bound Inhuman will be making her debut in the upcoming video game. Voiced by Cherry Thompson, who was also brought in as an accessibility specialist, it's nice to see companies try to be more inclusive of others who aren't often represented in video games.

Unfortunately, Cerise, the name of the Inhuman, will not be a playable character but is slated to be a relevant NPC. Hopefully, some free DLC will make her playable for some missions but we'll just have to settle for her cheering the Avengers. Since she's an Inhuman, we can assume that she'll have some sort of connection to Ms. Marvel, though that's just us typecasting, if anything else.

Catch Cerise's debut on Marvel's Avengers when it hits PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia this September. The War Table stream will be happening later this June, where more details will be revealed.
