Marvel’s Avengers has been showcasing the game’s playable characters in recent weeks, with both Captain America and Hulk already getting trailers. Now it’s time for everyone’s favorite genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist to get one since Iron Man is now getting a neat little video. Like those two characters, we get to see some gameplay and some of his alternate costumes, with Iron Man getting to show off some of his armors.

The video starts with his default costume, which is your typical red and gold Iron Man armor that most of us love. It then cuts to War Machine, which makes sense since Tony’s best friend is one of the most popular supporting characters in Marvel’s history. Then, we get to see his black and gold armor from Marvel NOW, which was a solid update but not everyone's favorite Iron Man armor.

After one more armor is revealed, we get some gameplay with Iron Man beating up some A.I.M. mooks but not really showing off his arsenal. It would have been nice to see more of Iron Man’s weapons in action but this is all we have thus far. Still, the game continues to look promising, though, to be honest, Iron Man continues to be the dullest character we’ve seen in action.

It’s weird how Iron Man seems to be the most boring playable character thus far, though we could chalk it up to the character being hard to design a game around. I would make him control more like a Zone of the Enders video game, which balances long-range weapons with cool hand-to-hand combat.

Marvel’s Avengers will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on May 15, 2020.
