Marvel's Avengers Reveals Post A-Day Story and Its Main Villain

Marvel's Avengers just finished its War Table stream and it was hard not to be blown away. Simply put, the game looks amazing and we can't wait to start playing it solo or with friends, as they managed to make this look like an incredibly enticing package. We also got more story details this time and fans will be happy to know that they are going all-in on A.I.M. as the main villains with M.O.D.O.K. revealed as the main villain.

After the events of A-Day, the world basically enters a post-Civil War/Dark Reign-style status quo where superpowered individuals are outlawed and Inhumans are experimented on, in the guise of helping them find a cure. A.I.M. has replaced S.H.I.E.L.D. as the new world power and the Avengers have disassembled, at least until Kamala Khan finds out what is going on.

Thankfully, The Avengers have allies since a crew calling themselves The Resistance is here to help. They will be composed of former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and some new Inhumans that want to help out. We're going to assume that we can save some of these Inhumans Metal Gear Solid V-style, as they rebuild an old Helicarrier that will act as the base of these superheroes.

Seeing a minor villain like M.O.D.O.K. getting the main villain role is pretty cool since he's usually relegated to the jobber position unless he fights The Hulk. It looks like they're going to make him a more serious villain this time around, almost as if he were the main baddie in an MCU flick. Honestly, I can't wait to see him in his full glory.

Marvel's Avengers will be coming out on September 4 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be a launch title for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
