Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Won't Let You Buy Individual DLC, it's Season Pass or Nothing

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is coming out next week and fans are excited to check out this long-dormant franchise on the Nintendo Switch. During the Nintendo Direct in E3 2019, it was revealed that the game would have DLC in the form of an Expansion Pass that will add new characters from Marvel Knights, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. However, fans hoping to get one DLC pack over the other won't be getting that option.

As revealed by Destructoid, fans only have one option to get the Ultimate Alliance 3 DLC and can't check each pack out separately. That's a bit of a shame since options are always great, though some would argue that paying for the whole DLC pass is usually cheaper than getting DLC packs individually.

On the bright side, the page of the DLC did give more details about the extra content. These won't just be characters as new modes and story chapters were also teased, which is always nice. Using new characters for the same old story parts would be pretty disappointing after all.

Details on who the new characters are were not given, though getting the Ultimate Alliance 3 Expansion Pass will give players a Deadpool costume. This might confirm alternate outfits per character, which has always been one of these games' biggest selling points. Hopefully, we get more than one costume per character.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order comes out next week, on July 19.
