Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Shadow of Doom Adds New Story Mode and Teases New Characters Outside of the Fantastic Four

After the first batch of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 DLC disappointed with their story-less modes, fans who picked up the Expansion Pass will be happy to know that the last bit of DLC, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Shadow of Doom, is going to have more story. The game's patch notes for its upcoming update have been released and fans are going to love what has been confirmed.

The new story will take place after Ultimate Alliance 3's main campaign, which explains that the whole God Emperor Doom post that Marvel Games shared. We're not sure how the final DLC will explain this but if we were to guess, Doom probably takes all of that leftover energy that was teased in the end and powers himself up. Naturally, the Fantastic Four are going to stop him.

While we all expected to see Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing, the patch notes actually tease even more characters that could be joining. If I had to guess, they're going to add Doctor Doom as a playable character and we'll be able to unlock him during one of the Infinity Trials, just like Thanos.

Fans who get the Expansion Pass won't just get three DLC packs and 12 new characters, they also get a couple of exclusive costumes to enjoy. There's a chef costume for Deadpool and some exclusive outfits for Cable, Gambit, Jean Grey, and Iceman, all of whom were added as DLC. All in all, this is a pretty solid move from the developers and it's a good way to end the game's support.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Shadow of Doom will be coming out on March 26. The game is available now on Nintendo Switch.
