Now that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has supposedly completed the Skywalker Saga, TT Games will be retelling the entire story through Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. While we did have several Lego Star Wars games that covered the prequels and classic trilogy, along with The Clone Wars and The Force Awakens, this new game will detail all of the mainline movies, which should be quite a treat for Star Wars fans.
Since the game is multi-platform, coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, many have assumed that the latter would be the worst version in terms of performance. While that could still be the case, TT Games have told Nintendo Everything that this game will "run like a dream" on the Nintendo Switch, implying that it won't be compromised on the best-selling system.
Here's the full statement from TT Games' Head of Design Arthur Parsons:
Major changes are expected to be made in The Skywalker Saga when compared to most of the Lego games. For one thing, this game will now have an over-the-shoulder perspective, making it similar to Resident Evil 4 or Gears of War. This should make shooting better and it will be interesting to see how close-combat via lightsaber duels is handled.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch in 2020.
