Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Lets You Play Through All Nine Movies, But in Lego Form

Turns out that Jedi: Fallen Order isn't the only Star Wars game coming out, as the Microsoft E3 conference revealed the new Lego Star Wars title that was previously confirmed. This isn't just a remaster of the previous games since it's called Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and will go through all nine movies that detail the Skywalker story.

Fans familiar with the Lego games will be happy to see this trailer keep the lighthearted tone of this fan-favorite series. We get to see a number of iconic scenes from the movies but with a few jokes added in there, like Darth Vader cutting off Luke's hand then offering his in return, because they're made of Lego.

We also get to see Rey and Kylo Ren interact, though it's a much sillier moment. Ren is seen making a snowman version of Darth Vader and Rey is stunned to see this, which angers Kylo, hence their fight. Hopefully, this shows that the new game will rely on the silly humor that the older games had and ditches voice acting from the films entirely, though that probably won't be the case.

Lego Star Wars was the very first Lego licensed video game, which soon started the money-making phenomenon that continues to this day. Ever since, the series has taken a number of licenses and made fun video games out of them, from Marvel and DC to Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Carribean.

It will be interesting to see how the game handles the events of The Return of Skywalker since that is the most anticipated movie release of December. We've only seen one trailer thus far but it looks like one hell of a finale.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga doesn't have a release date yet. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order comes out on November 15.
