Lego Lord of the Rings Games are Back on Steam After Years of Being Delisted

As many fans have learned over the years, you can't take too long when it comes to buying licensed games, especially in digital form. There has been a multitude of licensed games that have been delisted from digital stores, making them harder to track down and sort of making these games collector's items. Interestingly enough, after years of not being available, Lego Lord of the Rings and Lego The Hobbit are back on Steam.

This is a nice surprise for those that enjoy the Lego games since many thought these would be lost to time forever. While they aren't the best Lego game - to be honest, they're all alike - it's still a fun enough way to kill some hours if you're a fan of Tolkien's lore or the Lego games.

Granted, there are much better Lord of the Rings games you can play on Steam. Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War are fantastic, Arkham-style games with great combat and really fun exploration. These two games have also been praised for their nemesis systems, which allow you to recruit some of the orcs on your side. Unfortunately, the two games' stories read like Tolkien fan-fiction and the lead character is boring.

If you've always been curious about the Lego games and like Lord of the Rings, definitely check out Lego Lord of the Rings and Lego The Hobbit. They're available now on Steam and you should be able to find physical copies of the PS3, Xbox 360, and PS Vita versions.
