John Williams is a name that many Star Wars fans are familiar with, composing the scores for all of the major films in the franchise. Some would even argue that he helped save the prequels since they have some of the best music in the franchise, which is hard to dispute. Many fans were happy to see Williams walk away with his 25th Grammy win during the 2020 Grammy Awards.
While most fans will remember the 2020 Grammy Awards for Billie Eilish winning four of the big awards, some viewers missed the fact that Williams won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition. This is, as mentioned earlier, his 25th Grammy Award and that is huge news since most artists are lucky enough to get one or two in their career.
Interestingly enough, Williams didn't win the award for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, despite some of the sweet remixes in that film, but for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Symphonic Suite. That's right, his music for a theme park ride won him a Grammy, which is amusing just because The Rise of Skywalker didn't get it, which will entertain those that hate the movie.
Despite the controversy surrounding it, many fans are waiting for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Blu-ray, mostly to complete their collection. Disney and LucasFilm have yet to reveal the movie's home release date but that should be announced soon. In the meantime, congratulations to John Williams for the major win.
