Kevin Feige Describes Upcoming Shang-Chi Movie as 'Really Different and Special'

Shang-Chi was announced as one of the next Marvel movies that will be coming out after Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. It's too soon to tell if the film will be a part of phase four or if it will come out on a later date but fans are happy to see some Asian representation in a future MCU movie.

Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, recently talked about the upcoming movie and promised that it would be "really different" and "special" when compared to other MCU installments. That is a vague way to hype up this upcoming Marvel movie but fans are, nonetheless, still excited to check it out and see how it does.

Here is what Feige said about Shang-Chi, via the Indo-Asian News Service:

"I think every movie that we do is a risk. We only want to do movies that people seem to think are risks.Doing the story of an Asian-American hero of Chinese heritage is something that is very intriguing to us. It will be really different and special."
"I hope audiences around the world respond to it in the same way they did to Steve Rogers...whether they have American flag or not. It's about the individual storyline, spectacle and adventure that come with Marvel Studios movies."

As of this writing, there is no release date for Shang-Chi. Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the movie while David Callaham writes the script.
