Thor: Love and Thunder has a ton of fans excited, with the returns of both director Taika Waititi, reprising his position from Thor: Ragnarok, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who will be the new Thor. With Jane returning to the new film, fans are wondering if her friends will be making a return to the MCU. Kat Dennings, who plays Darcy Lewis in the first two Thor movies, has expressed interest in returning to the franchise.
Speaking with People, Dennings said she hasn't been contacted about the role yet but would love to return if given the chance. Dennings has said that Taika Waititi is one of her favorite directors and would love the opportunity to work with him. Hopefully, she gets the chance since the actress has good comedic timing and everyone loved her in the first Thor film.
"I hope so! We'd all like to know that answer, I don't know as of right now. I would like to, I am a huge fan of [director Taika Watiti], he's one of my favorite directors of all time. He's incredible. So purely from a thing of I love all of those people, I love Marvel and I would love to go back. I also really want to work with him, but I don't know."
Here is hoping we get the chance to see Dennings' Darcy Lewis and Stellan Skarsgård's Doctor Erik Selvig return, mostly so we can see how they react to Jane holding Mjolnir. Sorry, we mean meow-meow.
Thor: Love and Thunder is slated for a November 5, 2021 release.
